Leading Support, Resiliency, and Mental Health Resources and Organizations

Post 9/11, there are over 4.2 Million military Veterans that have served our nation. 1,700,000 (41%) have a disability as a result of their service, including psychological wounds, with 22 veterans committing suicide every day. (*data from va.gov and U.S. BLS) A majority of the American public has little awareness of the sacrifice and ongoing suffering of our Veterans. Most of our injured, ill and disabled Veterans do not know how to find or cannot afford the required help they need.

The Oscar Mike Foundation strives to be a leading provider of funding for injured Veterans to participate in life-changing adaptive sports. We utilize 100% of donations to the Oscar Mike Foundation and proceeds from our Oscar Mike Apparel Sales to provide support to injured Veterans looking for an opportunity to stay active. By focusing on the arena of adaptive sports, the Oscar Mike Foundation assists in offering an outlet for an ongoing competitive lifestyle to thousands of American Veterans who have sacrificed for the defense of our country.

Suicide is a complex problem that disproportionately impacts the military community. Stop Soldier Suicide is the only national nonprofit focused solely on solving the issue of suicide among U.S. veterans and service members. Our team is laser-focused on care and research that is specific to reducing veteran and service member suicide. Our vision is a nation where veterans and service members have no greater risk for suicide than any other American. We have an aggressive goal to reduce the military suicide rate by 40% no later than 2030.

ROGER is the wellness service of Stop Soldier Suicide. Services are focused on suicide prevention in the veteran and service member community and include confidential and personalized virtual mental health counseling, crisis intervention and safety planning. ROGER services are evidence-based and tailored to meet individual client needs, with a core focus on increasing safety and overall well-being for at-risk veterans and service members. The ROGER team can also assist with finding resources and referrals that help veterans and service members deal with life’s stressors. Visit GoROGER.org

When Chad Robichaux realized that countless other combat veterans face the same psychological, emotional, and spiritual challenges he did after his service in Afghanistan (challenges causing some twenty-plus suicides a day and staggering divorce rates among military families), Chad wondered to himself, Why doesn’t someone do something about this? He eventually realized that the answer was Why not me? and so began Mighty Oaks.

The Mighty Oaks Foundation is committed to serving the brokenhearted by providing intensive peer-based discipleship through a series of programs, outpost meetings, and speaking events. Our Mighty Oaks Warrior Programs hosts such Men, Women, and Marriage Advance Programs at multiple locations nationwide. The Warriors who attend are fully sponsored for training, meals, and lodging needs to ensure that upon arrival to the ranch, each Warrior is focused solely on his or her recovery and identifying purpose moving forward.

Semper Fi & America’s Fund cares for our Nation’s critically wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, and military families. Since 1986, MAPS has worked tirelessly to build and share the blueprint for ending psychedelic prohibition. This MAPS blueprint is being used throughout the world to take an evidence-based approach to psychedelic healing. As a nonprofit, MAPS has relied on the support of people like you to pursue our mission, build a movement, and change the way people think about, talk about, and consume psychedelics through research, education, and advocacy.

MAPS has incubated what will likely be the first psychedelic-assisted therapy to obtain government approval in the US. Thanks to our community of supporters and dedicated team, we have been able to spread this playbook widely, develop groundbreaking psychedelic education, and host the largest gathering of the Psychedelic Renaissance. Ultimately, we aim to end drug prohibition everywhere and unlock the healing potential of psychedelics for all who seek their benefit.
